National Locum Tenens Week is an opportunity to recognize the physicians who make an incredible impact on healthcare organizations and communities across the country. At FreeUpMD, it is also a chance for us to say something that we can never say enough: Thank You!
As a physician-owned company, we have a unique appreciation for the physicians we have the privilege of working alongside. We understand the responsibility that comes with caring for patients, the demands of practicing medicine, and the commitment it takes to step into a new hospital or healthcare facility and immediately become part of the team. Locum tenens physicians bring their experience, flexibility, and dedication wherever they go, often stepping in at the exact moment a healthcare organization needs them most.
We see firsthand the difference these physicians make. They help hospitals maintain access to care, support permanent medical teams during staffing shortages and leaves, and bring much-needed expertise to communities across the country. But their impact cannot be measured simply by the number of shifts they cover or assignments they complete. Behind every placement are patients who are able to receive care, colleagues who have additional support, and communities that continue to have access to the physicians they need.
What makes National Locum Tenens Week especially meaningful to us are the relationships we have built with the physicians we work with. Physicians are our partners. We work side by side with them throughout their assignments, and we are grateful for the trust they place in our team to support their careers, advocate for their needs, and help make each experience as successful as possible.
Being physician-owned shapes the way we approach those relationships. We know that an assignment is more than a contract or a schedule. It means time away from home, adapting to a new environment, working with a new team, and taking on the responsibility of caring for a new group of patients. That is why we believe physicians deserve a partner who listens, communicates honestly, understands their priorities, and remains available throughout the entire experience.
We are continually impressed by the physicians who choose locum tenens and the reasons they do it. Some are seeking more control over their schedules or the opportunity to experience new places. Others are looking for a different way to practice medicine, support communities experiencing physician shortages, or continue caring for patients at a different stage of their careers. Whatever brings them to locum tenens, we are honored when they choose FreeUpMD to be part of that journey.
National Locum Tenens Week gives us a dedicated moment to celebrate these physicians, but our appreciation extends far beyond one week. Every successful assignment, every conversation, and every physician who chooses to work with us is a reminder of why FreeUpMD exists in the first place: to support physicians and create partnerships built on trust, understanding, and shared experience.
To every physician who has partnered with FreeUpMD, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your career. Thank you for your flexibility and professionalism. Thank you for stepping into unfamiliar environments and making a difference from day one. Thank you for supporting healthcare teams and communities when they need you most. And most importantly, thank you for the care and dedication you bring to your patients every day.
We are proud to work side by side with you, grateful to have you as part of the FreeUpMD family, and honored to support you wherever your career takes you.
